Description

A terracotta oil lamp shaped like the head of Baubo, featuring a cheerful, chubby face with wavy hair adorned with a taenia. There are two circular openings on either side of her neck, and her expression is crafted with semi-naturalistic details, along with prominent extended earlobes housing circular openings. The reverse side has a circular hole, and the top of the head features an oval hole. Traces of white gesso are still visible, and it bears a vintage collection label with the inscription “1.2.27 CAS(22)” on the reverse.
